Isn't it ironic that the same people who have spent the last few years characterizating President Obama as a "dictator" and "king" are the same ones attacking Americans' right to vote?

(13,466 posts)Because a white, Christian, straight, affluent Liberal would be called an "elitist"; while a white, Christian, straight, affluent Conservative is a "hard working UGHmuriKKKan.

(2,140 posts)Disenfranchising the people they want to screw the worst, from voting, keeps those people from voting against those who screwed them.....Added bonus is that they get to extend, for a time, their looting and pillaging, not to mention racking up more bribe money....Hypocrisy is not only NOT a new development, with these shit-eaters,it's a prerequisite for the privelege of calling themselves conservative....
I have a feeling you know this already......

For the record, I think this would be more about vote suppression that voter intimidation. It would be pretty difficult to argue we didn't see massive attempts at voter suppression in the last election-- and for several prior. Look into Florida and Rick Scott.

Three, because they are unAmerican.
Four, because they do not believe in democracy in any form.
Five, because they know they have to cheat in order to win elections in this country from now on.

(75,480 posts)Since white people are becoming a minority, especially white men, the conservatives are in a quandary. Their voting base is shrinking so the only way they can stay in power is to make it harder for everyone else to vote.
