I think it's time we had a "stupidest senator" March Madness competition.

If it were no contest I'd pick Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul no contest but Joe Lieberman and John McCain make for some good competition.

edit: On second thought let's expand the pool to include representatives. Darrell Issa is a good choice but there's plenty of competition there!

Crapo is not stupid, although with his voting record you'd think he was. Crapo knows the people who voted for him, and they all believe exactly as he votes. In real life he's not that bad of a guy, but his politics are fucked beyond belief.

Right now, the biggest idiot in the Senate is Ted Cruz. Rand Paul is the most evil, but Cruz could take that title too.

I always thought that his constituency followed what he believed. You say he follows what they believe. It kind of makes them all stupid. Sure they are nice people but it doesn't absolve them from all those stupid decisions. I don't disagree with you about Cruz and Paul. Like I said there are so many of them.

The reality of Crapo is he's just like his constituency. He doesn't "follow" his voters' beliefs, nor do his voters "follow" his. They have the same beliefs, because Crapo is a very hardcore Mormon and his followers either ARE Mormons or hold most of the same positions.

and, if we can have ex-senators, Senator Centerfold should have a spot in the contest.
