Maul a Bitch Monday ♥
Domestic Violence: Don't make me tell you twice. She should have gotten worse. I usually like to make sure she's unconscious by the time i'm done. Learns better that way.
I asked my wife what time it was. She replied "what did you say honey?"
So I boxed her fucking ears.
Next time she'll listen.

(14,543 posts)But it was already reported on and FB said it was ok.
I was hoponig a mass reporting would get it pulled. Maybe i should put a pic on the page of a woman breastfeeding, that would surely get their attention.

(13,485 posts)If they leave it long enough it becomes a resident part of the internet whether it's on their site or not. They know that and will milk the publicity as far as they can because it won't go away anyway. That's the black magic of the Internet. As far as humanity, ugliness abounds.

Damn. I was hoping it would be down by the time I got home from gym.
Edit to add: well, that was fun. I reported two photos and got this response on both.

Thank you for your report. We carefully reviewed the photo you reported, but found it doesn't violate our community standard on graphic violence so we didn't remove it.
Clicked the link marked "community standards on graphic violence:
"People use Facebook to share events through photos and videos. We understand that graphic imagery is a regular component of current events, but must balance the needs of a diverse community. Sharing any graphic content for sadistic pleasure is prohibited."
So, I clicked the link marked "give feedback", and gave some:
Facebook: Whether or not you agree with the action Facebook took, did you understand the explanation you received in the support dashboard?
Me: No
Facebook: What didnt you understand about the explanation you received from Facebook?
Me: HOW the FUCK did a photo of a woman dripping blood, on a page celebrating domestic violence, not meet the standard of "Sharing any graphic content for sadistic pleasure is prohibited."???
Facebook: Is there anything else you would like to share with us about your experience reporting this content?
Me: Yes. This is already going viral. Suggest you remove head from ass and page from Facebook before you embarrass yourselves any further.
I may not have a Facebook account in a couple hours, but it was worth it.
mercuryblues
(14,543 posts)perfect. I am getting to the point to close my account.

(13,257 posts)That's what the person monitoring and posting on it tonight claims. "She" also claims to be a woman who was abused. Not buying that. The idea of a group of emotionally stunted nitwits posting pain to reel in outraged users for laughs rings more true.
Worse it seems Facebook approves of this kind of twisted humor at other people's expense, even if it exploits domestic abuse. The page is still up, and hundreds must have reported it by now because it's drawn a lot of attention.
So...photos of breastfeeding = bad.
Photos and violent talk of abuse = good.
Kind of sums up the sick state of this country, doesn't it?
Sissyk
(12,665 posts)I'm not a facebook user but she gave me a link to report abuse even if you are not. I think it worked. So, if anyone is like me and not a facebook user, look for cali's thread and you can also alert.

(14,543 posts)Thank all of you. The site is gone. Times like this make DU rock.
Now if I can just stay out of meta.
What some people don't realize is when you have people that demean and de-humanize women, pages like this are a direct result.
When politicians try to control a woman's body; attempt to downplay rape; block the VAWA act; compare women to cows and pigs; say a lot of people like being in abusive relationships.; reduce their work to "I saw your boobs"; sell t-shirt that say Knife her, choke her, rape her, on and on and on, this becomes the norm. It feeds into the mindset of sickos like this that they are correct in thinking women are nothing but sluts to beat on.
To a normal person it may mean nothing more than a stupid remark, "satire" gone wrong or women should not take this stuff seriously. It is a myopic view to say the least. It enables those to take it to the extreme.
magellan
(13,257 posts)And that page *is* gone, even though several of us received emails from FB stating that it didn't violate their "Statement of Rights and Responsibilities".
Before it disappeared, I saw one of the owners of that page accuse someone of being the Gestapo for reporting it. Evidently they're among the (too) many who cling to the First Amendment on the internet, claiming it gives them the right to say anything they like without repercussion. But they do know better. Otherwise they wouldn't confine themselves to anonymity on a social network to spread their crap; they'd be out on the street holding up an image of a beaten woman and telling strangers, "She should have gotten worse. I usually like to make sure she's unconscious by the time i'm done. Learns better that way." (As was written on that sick page.)
The politicians who speak in dehumanizing, vile terms about women own this, as does anyone who fails to tell them it's completely unacceptable and demand they be held accountable. Which is pretty much every other politician. This is a failure of leadership.

(10,362 posts)OMG a woman is b-b-b-breastfeeding! Think of the children! Sure they can buy a video game where they massacre thousands of people and it won't be censored, but boobs will ruin them
(Note that I'm for expressive freedom in video games, it's just an illustration of how silly this society is about nudity)
As to the page, it's set up by Internet trolls to stir your emotions. All I can think is, meh, desperate shit-stirrers are desperate. They always have been on the Internet trying to get a rise out of you, and they always will.
