GAB fails to post Walker recall petitions online as planned, citing privacy concerns

The state Government Accountability Board said it would not post petitions to recall Gov. Scott Walker online Monday as previously announced while staff evaluate privacy concerns.

"The GAB staff is evaluating the privacy concerns of individuals who have contacted us about posting the petitions online," spokesman Reid Magney said in a statement Monday evening, adding, "We will not have further comment tonight."

Recall organizers this month submitted about 1 million signatures on petitions seeking to recall Walker.

The board said Friday it had scanned 152,300 petition pages and delivered electronic copies to Walker's campaign. The 30-day window for Walker to file challenges to the signatures began Saturday.

I heard about one group making threats but they have just a handful of fans on their Facebook page and no website.
