I offer help for Mitt: can't understand why you lost to Obama? Do this:

Get your people to get you some clothes and a cap from the local Salvation Army thrift store.

Don't shave for a month.

Put on said duds and cap and go to the biggest public hospital you can find - in a major city, not La Jolla (if there is one there.)

Report to the Intake desk. Sign in as "Williard Romney" with a "pain in your stomach".

Have a seat for 12 or 15 hours or more

See this is what "low income" people with no insurance have to go through and why the idea of Obamacare is so appealing to them.

I guarantee that, if you do this and carry it out to the end, you will understand why you lost.

your knock on the Salavation Army thrift clothing. The things they sell are cleaned and usually look decent, at least judging from my long-time experience with them.

Maybe you should have suggested he "borrow" some of his multi-mansion landscaper's dirty work clothes, for instance.

Other than that, your points are well taken. Mitt is clueless.

I would have guessed that him of all people would know that the bill was popular. Or did he buy the BS the GOP is spewing about out of touch liberal MA people?

You write, "I guarantee that, if you do this and carry it out to the end, you will understand why you lost."

No, I don't think he would understand, even then. He's that clueless. He'd probably say that the ER care would have been much more efficient under private enterprise (because you directed him to a public hospital).

And if he went to a private hospital, he'd blame the situation on overly restrictive government regulations, and say that an unfettered free market would solve everything.
