Komen cancer charity halts grants to Planned Parenthood

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46209349/ns/health-womens_health/

The result is a bitter rift, linked to the national abortion debate, between two iconic organizations that have assisted millions of women.

Planned Parenthood says the cutoff, affecting grants for breast exams, results from Komen bowing to pressure from anti-abortion groups. Komen says the key reason is that Planned Parenthood is under investigation in Congress — a probe launched by a conservative Republican who was urged to act by anti-abortion activists.

Time to stop eating at Chili's now. The Brinkers have gone off the edge . . . They already were off the edge.

I wonder if they are kissing wingnut ass too?

If Komen is kowtowing to the right, they don't need any money from me or my relatives. They can get it from Sarah Palin and her pals.

I won't get all pissed off at their "business decision," but I won't give them any money anymore. Maybe PP can fire up a charitable arm for this specific purpose?

that does so much advertising and is THE charity that celebs and the well known donate to. I like charities that are more off-beat, not so well known and don't reap in enormous amounts of money.
