I was watching a documentary about tigers with my daughter a few months back. The one statistic that startled me was that there are more than 5,000 tigers in captivity in the US compared to an estimated 3,500 in the wild. (I do believe that they were referring to Siberian Tigers and not Bengals and the rest).
Crazy crazy.
