Rick Wiles: Obama Emulating the Antichrist, May Declare Himself God

End Times radio host Rick Wiles of TruNews started yesterday’s program by reading two news stories about President Obama’s upcoming decision to file a legal brief on the Proposition 8 case before the Supreme Court and his scheduled visit to Israel. After reading from the Book of Daniel and the two articles, Wiles wondered whether he found further proof that Obama is the Antichrist.

While he concluded that Obama may not be the Antichrist, Wiles does consider Obama to be “the latest incarnation of Satan’s spirit inside a human being in a high public office” and said he is “looking, acting and talking more and more like a man who is applying for the job of Antichrist.” He even fears that Obama may “declare himself as God” while in Israel, but he noted it is “too early for that happen.”

Mr. Obama may simply be the latest incarnation of Satan’s spirit inside a human being in a high public office. There have been many such men throughout history, tyrants such as Adolf Hitler. Consider these two news articles involving Mr. Obama. ‘According to Washington sources, Mr. Obama is poised to declare this week that homosexual marriage is a constitutional right in the USA.’

‘The Obama administration must file any brief opposing the California ban by this Thursday, February 28.’ So brace yourself, Mr. Obama may declare this week that homosexual marriage is a constitutional right. Is he the Antichrist who changes times and law? Only time will tell.

Article number two: ‘Mr. Obama will travel to Jerusalem next month.’ I think it will be interesting to see if he enters Jerusalem on the same day Jesus entered the city prior to Passover.

After reading your post above very carefully this time! Twice even! I agree also that the biggest divide in Christianity is between the right and the left. Increasingly outspoken progressive women might yet save the day. Between Nuns on the Bus and some others, I haven't entirely lost hope yet even though a complete schism may be in the works. The Anglicans divided over the very same points a few years ago. Maybe now it's our turn. I wanted to give Pope Francis his due, though, in my shared exchange elsewhere with an old friend, Harvey 1941.

So far I've resisted banging heads with the Catholic bashers in DU. No point jumping into a useless fight. And I already know how to fight well enough; what I need to work on is trying to understand and love people a little better. That's my great challenge in RedNeckLand; not to change them because that ain't never gonna happen, but to at least comprehend them a little better. I glanced at a few of the threads but want to avoid wading in right now. After all, tomorrow promises mild weather, and that's when I'll largely go dark anyway for the season. Too hot or too cold is when I hide in the house on the computer.

... because I knew it would infuriate and sicken me. It's not news how those crazies 'think', but it gets worse with every passing moment. If they want a candidate for antichrist, all they need do is check the mirror.

Since many readers might've missed this pertinent story, I'll drop my shortest version of it here, hopefully for the last time:

Not too long ago, a few years after I retired to RedNeckLand for financial reasons, I happened to be at the home of a very gracious though gullible person; both her parents were in bad shape in separate nursing homes, and she was on the verge of tears. When I expressed my sympathy I learned she was terrified that President Obama was going to order the plug pulled on her parents - this was back in the Kill Granny heydays. Before I could try to reassure her, another woman started literally screeching, "THAT OBAMA! HE'S THE VERY DEVIL!"

Since I had to snap at that one to put a cork in it NOW in my fiercest command pitch, I've never been welcome back in that home. It's downright funny how many people nearly faint when they see this side of me, but when it happens they always shut their trap quick. What's so scary about a tiny little old lady, pray tell?

What's not the least bit funny is the very real terror all those wingnut lies inflict on their gullible listeners. I swear I wanted to slap the second woman sillier than she already is. One of these days they're going to terrify somebody into suicide or worse.

There was a christian singer named Keith Green who started his own label because he wanted to be able to send people records even if they could not afford them. All you had to do was send a letter and they would send you an album. If you could afford anything that was fine if not that was cool too. I was a young teen and asked them for one and they sent it without question and no follow up mailings begging for cash either. He died in a plane crash not long after that sadly.

Did you ever read one of my favorite books called 'Future Shock'? About 5 years ago I re-read it and all the predictions have proven valid. For readers who might not be familiar with Alvin Toffler, he was a thoroughly qualified social scientist and not some flaming religious nut. I rank him right up there with Studs Terkel. True, the latter was less classically trained as a scientist, but he was still on target. Perhaps even more impressive. A few years ago I re-read 'Working' too for sheer delight.

But I know when I'm starting to ramble, so I'll hush now with a parting nod to another favorite author, Eric Hoffer. Brilliant man. Please don't ever let me get started about him.
