I honestly don't know, but if so I haven't noticed ithas anyone even taken the trouble to draft one of those DOA attention-seeking bills to deport all undocumented aliens?
If a Republican says, to a Republican audience, we are not going to round up 12 million people and transport them out of the country they get booed. Romney. Rand Paul. Doesn't matter... you can't say it.
But I'm not sure any Republican is proposing the alternative... despite it seeming to be a core Republican position.
But it can't be out of a shortage of crazy Republicans. There are people proposing outlawing pornography. There are people proposing prayer in schools. There are people proposing outlawing abortion... abolishing the minimum wage...
Is anyone (above the rank of Joe Arpaio) proposing the 12 million round-up?

(14,177 posts)He talked about self deportation. He didn't exactly explain though how they were going to target undocumented workers and make them miserable without also making people that have their paper work in order miserable as well.

(82,383 posts)Find that many people, establish they aren't legal - some might be or be citizens - drop them off at the border - a lot of them have to be flown home. that's going to be expensive. I thought right wingers complain we spend too much money? Just another example of their hypocrisy.
And the Mexicans can just come back over the border they way they did in the first place.
