(9,463 posts)I am lucky enough to have not had to live through such a tragedy. Your son was too young to leave us so soon.
I don't live in Tennessee but I pass through there at least once a year. I'll be thinking about you and your son for sure the next time I'm passing through.

(15,657 posts)You must miss him terribly.
I would end with this
But judging from his pictures, suspect this is more appropriate
Thanks for sharing his spirit here.

We're all at the mercy of some fluke taking us or a loved one in an instant and ... just Damn...
Not fair, but there's no one to complain to.

(482 posts)My girlfriend was killed in a car accident in August 1984-she hydroplaned on a highway into an oncoming car coming home from work.. We dated all through HS-met as sophmores and 3 years in college. We planned to be married right after graduation. Her death still bothers me to this day ...and at times I still think about her.
Met my wife in 1990 and we have an incredible relationship and love each other very much-could not ask for a nicer wife...but Lori F. was THE LOVE of my life...I know that sounds bad towards my wife but it is too hard to explain in words how I feel. Most people would not understand...maybe it's the lack of closure..we never were able to say goodbye..don't know..
Should of had therapy but never did.

Grieving is a biological process, as uncontrollable as puberty. The best we can do is understand it more completely.
