Some of the same folks who don't want religous leaders telling us who we can love and marry

want to tell us which religons we can belong to and participate in. It's not good enough to agree with them on ths issues. The sinful way must be renounced. Or maybe it's marginally acceptable to have internalized Catholic tendencies as long as that is acknowledged as a pathology and never fully consumated.

(to the OP) I don't see anyone telling people what religion to belong to etc. I see people saying we need to think for ourselves and beware of people who want to 'lord' it over us. I know this post was made as bait...have at it.

Honestly, you don't? Usually it is thinly veiled as "If you believe in such and such progressive position, then you can not in good consciece associate with or give any support to a religion that is fighting against (that progressive position). I also am seeing what you see also, and that I have no problem with.
