do well than in the 1980s, have the GOP woken up the now struggling middle class by creating extremes of inequality? Seems like a self fulfilling prophecy.

and on the other hand, they're dead set against making it more difficult to obtain firearms.

(611 posts)At the same time, they've been working hard to make sure the resentment is aimed not at the 1%, corporations, or the representatives in government who help make things harder for the underclass, but at those dratted latte-sipping liberals. Not all of the developing underclass falls for this, but perhaps those of them who are most likely to be stocking up on firearms are also most likely to have been convinced. If and when class warfare goes from cold to hot, one assumes they want the angry poor attacking middle class liberals. But I also live in this slightly paranoid little world, especially late at night when sleep evades me.
