Liberals believe everyone should be equal before law regardless of race.

Liberals believe in gender equality.

Liberals believe in LBGT equality

Liberals believe in Science

Liberals believe in education

Liberals believe in the separation of church and state

Liberals believe in cleaning up the environment

Liberals believe people who live in big cities are Americans too



Sadly, these beliefs destroy us with some demographic groups and in many regions of the country.

I really don't care what kind of money a CEO makes AS LONG AS they are paying their workers fair and living wages and offer plenty of benefits. It's the shits that make millions of dollars while keeping their workforce on food-stamps that disgust me.

One year our company lost $100m. It turns out the CEO got a $56m bonus that year. He was "outed" that year by a business magazine as the third most overpaid CEO in the country. We, the rank and file, got no pay raises as well as some heavy layoffs. We were told be glad we had a job at all. Yeah but how many jobs could that $56m have saved?

that sorta makes it sound like I don't care about any homeless people who are over age 18 and not veterans.

Plus, I would say 3,000 is a little bit high.

To say that liberals believe "CEOs should not receive 3,000 times the pay of their workers"

sorta implies that 2,998 times the pay is okay. Well, even 1,000 times the pay makes CEO pay equal to $20 million a year when workers are getting $10 an hour. So I am thinking that that number should be "over 100 times" instead of 3,000

but I am a nitpicker.

Maybe I am not a liberal if I think this but nothing on the above list is more important to me than our nation having a fully functioning strong small 'd' democracy. It requires an enlightened participatory electorate. With such a government, a government OF, BY and FOR it's citizenry, everything on the above 'liberal' list becomes the common sense wants of the majority. It is the best way for such wants to be attained Imo.
