Brinker will "never bow to pressure". In 1 day PP has already raised 650K.

Though groomed to perfection, Brinker looked about like you’d expect of someone who’d spent years building something, brick by brick, and then driven a truck through the front window by accident.

snip:

Richards has accused Komen of bowing to conservative pressure to cut off ties with Planned Parenthood, which does perform abortions. The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg reported today that the decision was political, had caused heated internal arguments at Komen, and had led one high-level Komen official to resign in protest.

In a single day, Planned Parenthood raised almost as much money as it received from Komen last year, taking in $650,000, much of it in small donations made online. Komen gave Planned Parenthood $680,000 last year.

Of every dollar they raise, only 21 cents goes to research and 6 cents to treatment. The vast amount of it goes to fundraising (10 cents), self promotion (34 cents), and administrative salaries (11 cents). Nancy Brinker, the woman who founded the foundation and named it after her dead sister because people would be less likely to give to a womens' "charity" run by a Republican politician, pockets almost half a million dollars in salary every single year.

It's only when their political side finally pushed its way to the surface that the tower of lies they built their reputation on top of came crumbling down.

and they're always really surprised when the normally complacent yet statistically enormous pro-choice majority in this country is roused to action.
