Clicking on right wing Google Ad craziness: a good idea?

I'm sure we've all seen absurd right wing ads before on many websites. Here's another one I saw on a news one: http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/simgad/7056509235374419120

But I'm thinking now, isn't clicking on these a good idea? After all they have to pay Google for every click. But if the click is someone who has no intention of donating or signing their absurd petitions, they just lose money for nothing. It'd be a good idea if progressive just click on this nonsense and instantly closed it instead of just ignoring it.

Am I correct in this or is clicking them just a waste of time?

as google only considers 1 click per computer (ip address/mac address) during a specified time using cookies. Thus, no effect.
