Roseanne Barr running for President

Roseanne Barr said Thursday she's running for the Green Party's presidential nomination — and it's no joke.

"The Democrats and Republicans have proven that they are servants -- bought and paid for by the 1 percent -- who are not doing what's in the best interest of the American people," Barr said.

Roseanne Barr is a joke. The Green Party is a joke. And putting the two together is an even bigger joke. It's just that none of it is funny.

So far she is my first choice.
Reason?
Her eloquent statement of FACT -
"The Democrats and Republicans have proven that they are servants -- bought and paid for by the 1 percent -- who are not doing what's in the best interest of the American people."

8. I was a registered, voting Democrat for over 40 years...

Last year I registered as a member of the Green Party.
I do see that I may have in fact violated the TOS of Democratic Underground so I will no longer be posting here. Thank you for bringing this issue of what can be posted here to my attention. It was never my intention to break any rules but inadvertently, I may have. I am currently not advocating the election of any conservative candidate but I do reserve the right to advocate for the best qualified candidate, regardless of political affiliation. There are some democrats that act like republicans and there are some republicans that act like democrats - Amazing but true. Green party candidates are so marginalized as to be a joke and yet they could be used as an excuse to throw an election to a conservative candidate. Such is this Case in Point -The myth that Nader threw the election of 2000 to Bush?
From DU's TOS -
"Winning elections is important — therefore, advocating in favor of Republican nominees or in favor of third-party spoiler candidates that could split the vote and throw an election to our conservative opponents is never permitted on Democratic Underground."

Well, that's just fine by me. Enjoy your echo chamber.

5. It's not a joke - Nader got 97,421 votes in FL in 2000

Bush won by 537 (if you believe the count)

Every single vote counts and the course of history could be changed, for the worse, by a Barr run.

she said she thought people past a certain age were a drain on society, and that everyone past a certain age should commit suicide.

She may have some good things to say, but I've never been able to stand her.
