Dear Rep. Renee Ellmers: That's not an 'investigation' it's a frickign WITCH HUNT!!!

I'm so happy to see that SGK has decided to keep politics out of Breast Cancer Research and Health. But of course there are still republicans out there having hissy fits that SGK realized that their partnership with Planned Parenthood was important like Rep Renee Ellmers, an anti-choice republican from North Carolina:

http://www.cnn.com/2012/02/03/politics/planned-parenthood-komen-foundation/index.html

"I am deeply disappointed in the sudden reversal by the Komen foundation of their original pledge to cut ties with Planned Parenthood - the nation's largest abortion provider," said Republican Rep. Renee Ellmers. "Their original stance to stop funding pending an important congressional investigation was an act of courage and prudence, making their sudden reversal today appear hollow and weak."

To me, an investigation is when both democrats and republicans come together and say "Something is wrong with this - we need to investigate it". What a few republicans are doing is called a Witch Hunt - trying to find more ways to hamper low-cost, affordable healthcare to women just because 3% of what Planned Parenthood does is abortions.

These anti-choice, anti-women politicians need to get a life. Geez if someone was giving away free Viagara, they'd all jump on board to make sure it was funded 100%. But you have an organization that reaches out to low-income families so that women can have healthy babies, test for STD/AIDs, screen for various cancers, provide affordable health birth control and yes, 3% of the time make safe, affordable, privately funded abortions available, well let's just do all we can to put an end to that.

We need to stop the witchhunts!
