http://www.suntimes.com/business/10414230-420/unemployment-drops-to-83-percent-after-hiring-burst.html<snip>
In the most impressive surge for the job market since early last year, the United States added 243,000 jobs in January, far more than economists expected. The unemployment rate dropped to 8.3 percent, the lowest in three years.
Hiring accelerated across the economy and up and down the pay scale. The high-salary professional services industry added 70,000 jobs, the most in 10 months. Manufacturing added 50,000, the most in a year.
This is a very positive employment report from almost any angle, said Brian Bethune, an economics professor at Amherst College.
The report could enhance President Barack Obamas hopes for re-election, which is turning on the health of the economy. The unemployment rate is the lowest since February 2009, one month after Obama took office.

If conservatives are unable or unwilling to reply that Obamas figures are stinking lies, and show how, what chance does any Repub have in 2012?

That number is going to continue to go down as we approach the election...
I think there is something more sinister going about...
This is nothing more than zer()'s election platform, of not just a do-nothing congress, but one that mucks things up. The numbers are artificially lowered with the removal of 1.2 million unemployed from the rolls. What he will have happen, now that he knows he can manipulate the #'s, and to what extent %-wise... he'll have the unemployment become "worse" as the election nears, and claim it's congress "mucking it up", after he got things so rosy in February.

Then there is the insane assertion in that thread that 2 million people lost jobs in the last two months.

You can have a Republican President, Freeps...or a better economy for the middle class. But you can't have both.
