She did nothing worth praise. She brought nothing positive to this world.
And she set no good examples for her country, this country, or anyone else.
Except for the wealthy and the manufacturers of nuclear weapons, we would all have been better had the Iron Lady never been born.
Her contributions to life were purely vile, soul-destroying and reprehensible.
She taught that kindness must be crushed by selfishness, that peace must lose to war, that hatred must defeat hope...and worst of all, she helped cause the British Labour Party, the party that was SUPPOSED to go on fighting against all her ugliness, to surrender to it and become just like her. She gave Tony Blair to the world, and that is just as bad as anything else she ever did.
To mourn her is to endorse all that she did.
Instead, the president should sent condolences and wreaths to all the survivors of the Miners' Strike of 1984, and send thanks for heroism to the women who participated in the Greenham Common peace camp. And invite Ken Livingstone and Tony Benn to the White House to acknowledge their courage and creativity in standing up to the monster.
Don't honor those who did nothing but evil. Honor those who fought against them.
