I have been left with no choice but to disavow OccupyAustin

I will give more details later- a brief summary though- the paranoia and rumor mill pushing out and usurping the roles of people who had been there since the beginning, the overpopulation of Paulbots (makes no sense), and anarchists (the dumb kind), and a few specific rallies I thought Occupy for its political reasons should not be tied to. I will continue to work for and support the overall occupation and the few sensible things Austin still does.
Be it known I am no longer in any official capacity linked to OccupyAustin, but
Solidarity forever

Obviously they weren't 'real' OWS people, then. randome Feb 2012 #2
Heh. Sadly, most of the DU'ers starstruck with OWS are too dense to get it. n/t. apocalypsehow Feb 2012 #10

I know you want the movement to succeed. As do many of us who have expressed criticism. I do have hope when I see people like you exercise a smart compass to target the best parts and try to move OWS in a more productive direction.

Maybe get involved with an OccupyTexas or something- unfortunately I work nights so GAs are a no go for me- otherwise I truly would have thrown up a block or two (the most serious hand signal)

For example, I support real communism and socialism in theory. Unfortunately, when you add humans into the mix, it just doesn't work.

We had some here who moved to Austin. They talked about no state income tax and a growing libertarian community in Austin.

Are you sure you couldn't have refudiated them instead?

I guess your next step is to disavow the US due to its actions?

Sorry, but it is just dumb to give up and then even dumber to tell the world you are giving up. Like... who cares?

All you are really doing is hurting the movement with this inane complain.
Maybe you don't care?

Or even truly read this One considering I stated that I would continue to support the overall movement and Austin when they do sensible things.

And if you still really don't think I care- let me ask you something- how much time, valuables, blood, sweat, and tears have you donated to occupy? Did you lose a job over it?
