Surprised that through the alcohol and drugs, he finally found something that he didn't totally fuck up.

the man. Or perhaps just a dawning self-awareness. Looking at himself in that shower mirror...what is HE seeing? Why is he looking in the first place? Why is he painting what he is doing?

Churchill's stuff (IIRC) was more about nature. Bush seems to be self questioning and perhaps he doesn't quite know why, and maybe he never will.

The one in the shower is better - kind of quirky and interesting. I don't think he's especially talented but at least he's keeping busy and staying out of public view for the most part. I'd rather not see or hear of him at all.

"Ohhhhhhhh, that's BEAUTIFUL! So evocative and serene...reminiscent of (insert quickly-googled, appropriately obscure artist here)...so well done...keep it up!

"What, what? Oh, that was done by a Republican? SHRUB? THEN IT'S THE WORST PIECE OF SHIT I'VE EVER SEEN! I LEAVE BETTER ARTWORK IN THE TOILET AFTER A DAY OF LENTILS AND VODKA! PAINT-BY-NUMBERS WORTHLESS NO-TALENT PIECE OF SHIT!"

In other words, I am interested in Prob(good) rather than Prob(Good|Bush).

if he wants to, probably for millions of dollars, and they're lousy. While some of us actually studied art and try hard every day and can barely make ends meet.
That being said, go look at my art
and don't forget that I'm always taking portrait commissions !

Otherwise they wouldn't fetch $20 at a local flea market. It's purely pedestrian high school art show stuff. But as such, they're better than most other pedestrian high school art stuff. I applaud him his efforts, and for finally doing what HE wants to do, instead of what Dick "Dick" Cheney wants him to do.

I paint. I'm an illustrator, a cartoonist, a graphic designer. I've never done anything else in my life.

But I am not a President (except for my high school senior class). I don't have a presidential bone in my body. While I didn't lie naked in coffins in college, I did some partying. George did, too. George was NEVER presidential material. More likely, he was always more of the impetuous artist type. Scattered. Just wanted to do his thing, but was always being told it was the wrong thing, and that he better not quit his day job.

Because of the family stature, an artist wasn't a permissible route for him to take. GWB may have been perfectly happy being a bohemian slob, painting every day...but no way in hell GHWB (or Battleaxe Bar) was going to stand for some little faggot artist ruining the family legacy. So he accepted the hand dealt him, and now he doesn't give a shit what anyone else thinks about him. He was President...YOU weren't.

"I'm painting...I'm painting again...you can't see it 'till it's finished..."
