I know that is a facetious question but it is one I plan to call into Harry Reid's office tomorrow. When will the Democratic leadership start to demand a semblance of party discipline? Were LBJ still the Majority Leader, a weasel like Baucus would not have dared break with the President on a key issue. And if somehow he did, the perks of his office would have been stripped from him.No chairmanship, no cushy digs and an office location that is so far from the capitol that you have to take Amtrak to come and cast a vote, would be his lot.
Shumer and Durbin need to tell Reid to move on the fillibuster reform and punish cowards like Max.
As our elected officials act as if business as usual is an acceptable mode of operation, our democracy is dying.
