A caller to Randi Rhodes made an excellent point about Muslims... I had to share it here....

Seems like whenever there is a terrorist attack it has connections to radical Islam, Muslims etc. And the rw becomes orgasmic over this.

What the caller basically said: (expanding on it)
From now on when there is a shooting, a Jodi Arias case, an accident at a chemical plant - one of our first questions should be
WHAT RELIGION WERE THEY?????

Nope, they don't care when it is a Christian that blew up a school.
But they have no problem pointing fingers at every other religion or race (ie - gangs in Chicago.... Hollywood elite)
and oh yes, their favorite - Muslims.

Next time there is a tragedy caused by an American citizen to other American citizens we need to slip that question in there -
What religion were they???? (I know Boston was an exception to this).

It's time we call them out on their bigotry by pointing our finger right back at them.

If the killers did their deed BECAUSE they felt Islam was being maligned and Muslims targeted...wouldn't that be different than a random person who attends church killing someone NOT because they felt they were defending Christianity BUT for some other reason.

For instance, if someone says they were Muslim, but they killed another person for (FILL IN THE BLANK) but not in an announced defense of Islam. Isn't that different?

The same for a Christian. If a guy says he is a Christian AND he's killing people because he feels compelled to defend his faith, isn't that different from a random person who has attended church killing someone.

So...I don't think its a valid point.

Man kills man over woman. Totally unnecessary to divulge his professed faith. Man kills man (in defense of his religion), yeah, I want to know the religion. Be he Christian, Muslim, or Martian.
