Guess who's coming to Dinner?

NY Daily News:

Sen. Ted Cruz's NYGOP Star Turn: The Invite

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is headlining the big NY GOP's big May 29 dinner, and here's the invite.

The choice of Cruz, who won office with backing from supporters of the Tea Party movement, raised eyebrows (and some hackles) since he voted against Hurricane Sandy aid intensely sought by New York. (He also happens to be author of a "Bloomberg Big Gulp Amendment.&quot

NYGOP spox David Laska told the Daily News that Cruz is a great choice given the Empire State's diversity and its large Latino population, calling him "a young, principled conservative leader from the Hispanic community and an outspoken voice for our Republican values of freedom, opportunity, economic growth, limited government and local control. We are thrilled that he has agreed to join us."

Apparerently "local control" doesn't include Marriage Equality. The NY Republicans have enough trouble without adding Cruz to their list of problems.
