and install them on the roads to all those posh private jet ports.

The longer the 1% get their way, the more likely violence like this will occur. The lessons of history are there and they are clear.

Many years back, I worked for a non-profit that ran a meals on wheels program for an eight county rural area. The daily food was prepared in a central kitchen and sent out. The program was so important because many of elderly were no longer able to prepared balanced meals and were living on junk foods and were not getting adequate nutrition. Plus, we left health foods that did not need cooking for them on Fridays, so they would have something for the week-ends. Many times, the person delivering the meal would be the only person they would see all week. We had our drivers trained to be observant and let us know if they thought the senior needed some home health care, housekeeping, someone to take them shopping or a repair to their house. We'd find the right person or group to see about the senior. For most of these people, the food delivery was the highlight of their day, they got food and someone to talk to for a few minutes.

It makes me sick to see this program cut. The generals said they don't want the tanks that congress is insisting on funding in the budget. Cut the tanks from the budget and pay for the meals on wheels!
