and I don't mean paltry wages but actual bondage, where someone owns another human being. Enslaved women, girls, and boys are used in the sex industry, in manufacturing, and in domestic service. There are more people enslaved today that at any point in human history.

Anyone ever bother to READ the 13th Amendment?

Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
