during the battle, and thereby possibly saved Amb. Stevens and others, but refused to do so. Faux is also po'ed because the White House didn't call it a terrorist attack from the beginning.

It's bigger that Watergate, doncha know?

I'll get the staples out a week from Monday. I can move it a little now and the swelling is almost gone.

On ibuprophin only, no more vicorprophin.

Oh, and beer of course...

Blood on their hands. I am waiting to see which GOP stands up and brags about cutting the state department. There was a briefing in which many of the crybabies choose not to attend, is this a conspiracy to continue to wail about Benghazi cover up when they decided not to attend the briefing.

It seems like its hugely blown out of proportion, simply because he didn't utter the phrase terrorist attack?? And that he supposedly did nothing during the attack? What about the republicans who cut embassy security?

Thanks for the welcome!

with Pres Clinton. What GOPers are doing now will backfire on them 24/7. Americans want good paying jobs, good health care, and a good retirement plan to secure their future. The GOPers are not concerned about the everyday Americans.

is my thought that Ambassador Stevens took undue risk going to Benghazi, inasmuch as insufficient security was not posted there.

Out of respect for Ambassador Stevens, who thus died in service to his country, this thought has not been advanced by the administration and the press.

Just as soldiers at times make mistakes and pay with their lives, State Dept. representatives also commit errors. In this case the Ambassador was so comfortable with his knowledge of the local culture and language he seemingly thought he could handle any circumstance. Unfortunately, he was wrong.

However, Libya just overthrew a long-term despot and was/is a very volatile spot where one's safety, unfortunately, cannot always be guaranteed and where *stuff* is likely to happen. It was a tragedy to be sure but the best way to handle with such things is to figure out what we can do to make our embassies/consulates safer in more dangerous parts of the world. The GOP response, as usual, has been entirely overly hysterical, off-base, counterproductive, and, to top it all off, hypocritical in their zeal to take President Obama and former SOS Hillary Clinton down (hopefully in advance of the 2014 and 2016 elections, respectively).

securing embassies and consulates today and in the future.

And, I believe the Republicans are having some success in sullying Sec. Clinton's record and reputation, inasmuch as she is not in the public eye at this time, i.e., that vacuum is being filled with the Fox/GOP meme, which is being taken up in the national media, now that more hearings re Benghazi will be held shortly.
