Matt LAUER revealed to Ellen today that he got profound counsel/mentoring from Shrub

Must be his rehab trip around the talk shows. He seemed quite likeable (I never watch "Today&quot , skated past his CURRY situation and his plummeting, downplaying it.

She questioned him about it and he kept it to generalities, like, it's been rough. But then he said he was at the Shrub library opening and Shrub gave him coping advice, "Don't listen to the loudest voices."

He went on to say you can't trust the feedback either of the people who love you or of those who don't, that both have a slant.

Ellen chimed in to say that Shrub's advice was good, that she had some rough years when she thought she would never have the peace and success she has now and that the don't-listen thing is what helped her get through it.

So there we have the Shrub wisdom, which was the same as shortly after he took power, when he said to a Black who was criticizing him, "Who cares what you think?!1"

13. It really isn't good advice in any situation. All it means is don't listen to the advice you don't

want to hear. Funny how they can take the advice to not listen.

If he'll take advice from Shit-for-Brains he's pretty much a lost cause.

I honestly thought he was taking orders from Rove, the fact that they came from Stupid is very, very telling.

I knew he was tucked into that administrations inside pocket. I stopped flipping on the set at all in the morning. All three morning shows were unwatchable.

8. Yip, when Kitty KELLY's book on the BFEE debutted, LAUER raked her over the coals for daring

to publish some (mildly, for her) negative things about them. Today did a two days rollout of her book. At the end of the LAUER raking-over the first day I called NBC/Today and got to talk to a producer and unloaded how slanted and toadying and unfair his crap had been, and the second day the tone towards KELLY was totally polite.

He's a stinking POS. I was never a fan of Ann Curry, but he made her a mighty sympathetic character in my book.
