my babysitter's brother-in-law tried to commit suicide last night....

he swallowed a bottle of sleeping pills and is in the ICU right now. The doctors arent saying much... apparently he was in financial difficulties... He is a limo driver and used his credit card to rent the limo for $600 a week..

I don't know him personally - but I find it so unnerving that people are forced to take such drastic steps needlessly. He could have declared a personal bankruptcy instead - but the shame of doing so was too much for him.

Its the world we live in today- no matter how hard some people try - they can never get out of where they are.

I see what is happening in our country and I don't recognize it and don't think it's going to be better for my granddaughter. I know we can't afford to give her that leg up because we are to busy trying to live day to day like most families. I know many families are one paycheck away from going over the cliff.

And our small town has so many of them. Many, many more than 10 years ago. Each one represents misery, imho.
