I think I'm going to go with the guy who didn't wait until the other one refused to take the reward

...before telling their story.

Angel said he and other neighbors helped Ramsey break down the door Even though he also said: ""Ramsey arrived after she was outside with the girl,""

"I helped her and I was first," neighbor Angel Cordero told local NewsChannel5, referring to Amanda Berry, the 27-year-old hostage who signaled for help.

"Ramsey arrived after she was outside with the girl," Cordero told the reporter in Spanish.

"But the truth who arrived there, who crossed the street, who came and broke the door, it was me."

Cordero said he and other neighbors helped Ramsey break down the door of the Seymore Avenue home.

He also doesn't speak English, but told Piers Morgan via a translator earlier...

"She had told me that (she) had been kidnapped for ten years," Garcia recounted for Cordero. "So I kicked the door at the bottom ... and that's when Amanda ran out of the house."

"The first one that talked to Amanda was me, and she told me what was going on and that there was two other women in the house."

Charles has always said he wasn't the 1st.

He left. I jumped on my bike, went to McDonald's. Came back home, I'm in my house, but I'm in the living room and I'm right by the front door, because I'm looking out the front door, and man, this girl screamed like a car had hit a kid, which made me, you know, stop eating, what the hell was that. You know, so when I got up, I saw this - my neighbor across the street, he run across the street and I'm, like - I'm thinking, where you going, because ain't nobody next door because I just saw Ariel leave.

And I know ain't nobody over there. Heard that girl scream and saw him run across the street, and I went outside and wondered what he was doing,
and - Amanda said, I'm stuck in here, help get me out. So he - guy don't know English that well or panicked, he just looked at me and it's a girl. And that's all he did. So here I come with my, you know, half eaten Big Mac and I looked and I said well, what's up.

And she's like I've been trapped in here, he won't let me out, me and my baby. I said well, we ain't going to talk no more, come on. I'm trying to get the door open, I can't, because he torture chambered it some kind of way and locked it up, right? So I did what I had to do and kicked the bottom of the door, and she crawled out of it. She grabs her baby, which threw me off, all right, so fine. I got some girl and her kid.

=snip=

COOPER: Amanda Berry then, what, asked to call 911?

RAMSEY: Mm-hmm. And I took her to my house. Now I'm nervous as hell so I'm fumbling with my phone, so I finally get it right. She can't wait and I don't blame her. So what I do was tell her go across the street and use their phone. Now we're both calling 911. Now she gets through and I get through. She deal with a moron, me, too.

It's Angel's word against Charles'. I think I'm going to go with the guy who didn't wait until the other one refused to take the reward before telling his story.

Anyway, Amanda knows what happened and the truth will come out eventually.

I am confused. Are you saying you have doubts about Angel since he didn't speak up until Charles uppityperson May 2013 #1
yeah... I'm confused too... A bit like trying to "untie" double or triple negatives. hlthe2b May 2013 #5

Well if they both broke down the door, why was Charles going to get the whole reward? LisaL May 2013 #11
It's not something I'm "claiming". Turborama May 2013 #13
Reading your OP, each one seems to claim he was the one who actually broke down the door. LisaL May 2013 #15

refused the reward? Or you think Angel was right because he didn't speak up until Charles refused the reward?

That's not to say that Angel wasn't a participant in the events and deserves some credit for that, I'm just suspicious and think he could be embellishing as there are holes.

Unlike Angel, who seems to be trying to claim he did everything.

Considering you are claiming Charles turned this reward down. Shouldn't it be split then?

16. Here's what he said in his 1st interview...

Charles Ramsey: Heard screaming, I’m eating my McDonald’s, I come outside, and I see this girl going nuts, trying to get out of the house. So I go on the porch. I got on the porch and she said “Help me get out. I’ve been here a long time.” I figured it was a domestic violence dispute. So I open the door. And we can’t get in that way ‘cause of how the door is, it’s so much that a body can’t fit through; only your hand. So we kicked the bottom. And she comes out with a little girl and she says ‘Call 911. My name is Amanda Berry.

Technically "he" did kick the door.

Maybe by the stage of the Anderson Cooper interview he assumed everyone would know he meant he wasn't the only one who kicked it, as he'd already talked about the other guy's involvement?

Have you watched the video with Anderson Cooper yet?

Why was Charles going to get the whole reward anyway, since it appears Angel was the first one at the door?

That's what matters. Why must we play along with the media manipulation? Give it a few days and they'll start feeding us unflattering details from the lives of the victims themselves. It's all a soap-selling game to them.
