Sheesh, the rank stupidity of the GOP is incredible.
Shorthand: none of today's GOP votes count. For anything. At all.

(37,540 posts)In general terms, why should taxpayers be paying for a partisan primary? Shouldn't each party be responsible for financing their own primary election? In this case, the primary doesn't count because of boneheadedness of the Missouri Republican Party...but taxpayers are out $7 million dollars for this non-event. If I'm a Democrat in Mo, I'd be demanding that these jokers refund at least 50% of that non-event.

(129,468 posts)was breathtaking in the amount of botches!
Iowa - R-money wins, then no decision, then tie, then Santorum wins, then head of Iowa GOP resigns
Florida - penalized 1/2 of the delegates and Getrich contesting that results to get proportional votes
Nevada - extended caucus close 2x and then only got 1/2 of expected 75K, with more ballots then people
MO - early date not changed in time so delegates aren't selected until later at a 2nd caucus, doesn't count
MN, CO - electors aren't selected until later, don't count
and on and on....
