(14,350 posts)People need to remember that when they start to attack us--we protect kids, we teach kids, and we help raise kids.
May all the teachers come home safe and sound tonight, and may all of the students be safe, too. The reports of students in the one school not having made it are horrifying.

I have had people call me all of those things.
Not in person, of course, but with the anonymity of blogs and social media.

Her poise and grace...I have my student, my purse, I am calm, I am covered with blood and just survived am F4 tornado.

"Good job, teach," the man said, his voice choked with emotion.
A sixth-grade teacher told KFOR she laid on top of several children in a restroom to protect them from winds that may have topped 200 mph, and all survived.
