Today I called Anthem B.C. to tell them.....

I’m canceling!!! On S.S. for a year and was being charged $500 a month with a $7,000 deductible.. Saving approximately $15,000 of savings before I reach 65...Been paying into Blue Cross for 20 years
and cost them a kidney stone operation in in late 90’s. nothing else.

One of the top days in my life... Should have heard the rep. trying to give me reasons to stay. Oh,”How the new plans are going to be so much richer”.. “How your current plan will be grandfathered in to avoid and increases.” WTF? It was precious..

Why, Because there is a plan in L.A. Called," Heathy Way La” which the intake Counselor stated had received a ton of medicaid money for people who could prove their incomes were below a certain level.

I’m wondering if Obamacare had some part in this or it just because Cal. new surplus allowed the influx.

Anyway, My low income of S.S. only qualifies me easily. I can pick one L.A. County facility and use their services for anything with no dectuctable...County Hospitals can also be used.

I just wish everybody had access to this program..In LA. County call 1-877-333-4952 for info...
My feelings are that these programs are available in many Counties right now and people just don’t
are not aware... This also might be true across the U.S.
My final thoughts, fuck our for profit Healthcare system and those who support them!

Hey isn’t Brewer trying to bring some funds in?
Can’t go on with this discussion.. My brother lives down there, he’s cool. But what a fucking idiotic state.
Good luck to all down there!!

manhassat to shop. it was called "miracle mile". loved to go to A&S. had a friend who lived in great neck.

forest hills was great. had the LIE, Grand Central and VanWyck a few minutes away from my apartment. also liked to shop at roosevelt field.

my friends live in peter cooper village -- they pay $3,000 for a 1 bedroom and the place has gotten run down.

in '67 - '68 worked in a beauty salon on W. 8th st. and MacDougal. drove to work and we took turns feeding the meters. salon was open till 10 pm and if i was working the late shift we went out after work. i was a single mom driving a '66 candy apple red mustang. had a lot of fun back then.

Walked from P.W. to Miracle Mile where I bought my first transistor radio..Newmark and Lewis or Davegas, Can’t believe I remembered both those names. Both those store’s sold R&R albums. Those stores were a stones throw from the Manhasset Cinema which showed mostly artsy foreign films.
