Current TV still isn't Al Jazeera

Every day, I watch at least a part of the Bill Press Show on Current TV, and usually at least some of their evening programming. When the sale of Current to Al Jazeera was announced, I expected that by now, the programming would have been replaced by their news reporting. So far, the only changes have been the departure of Jennifer Granholm and Eliot Spitzer. The Young Turks' Michael Shure took over for Granholm and John Fugelsang has ably replaced Spitzer.

In an article announcing the hiring of Michael Viqueira as White House correspondent, the following is all I've seen about when things might change.

The New York-based Al Jazeera America has not selected a president or set a launch date but has said it plans to debut this year.

I'll report more as further information becomes available.
