Two interesting food conspiracies I heard last night...

...first was "You know that KFC restaurants don't call any of their menu items 'chicken' anymore? That's because they are a pig-chicken hybrid now."

Then we were talking about GMO corn and Monsanto. I know there are a lot of Monsanto haters here but at least hate them for the right reason.
His comment to me was after I said to him "at least with Round up Ready corn we are eating less herbicides" as his response was along the lines of "No, you're eating more because the corn has the herbicide right in it". Which isn't true. Roundup Ready corn is modified to resist glyphosate which kills most other weeds.
And I would rather eat residual glyphosate then 2-4D or other nasty weed killers.

Chow down if you want, but Parkinson's and Alzheimer's are -- in the long-term aftermath -- an enduring curse.

New Study Shows Glyphosate Linked to Cancer and Parkinson’s Disease
30 April 2013 |

A new study about the harmful effects of Glyphosate is lending weight to 2012 Goldman Prize recipient Sofia Gatica’s campaign to stop the indiscriminate spraying of toxic agrochemicals in Argentina and around the world.

The peer-reviewed study, which appeared in the scientific journal Entropy, focuses on Monsanto’s popular herbicide, Round Up, and its chief ingredient glyphosate.

and pollute your soul with that state of being.

But there is PLENTY of reason to question, to check, and to avoid Monsanto, it's toxic products, its undue political and regulatory influence, and its brutal predatory business practices stomping on farmer's faces and wallets, and laying waste the living biota in the farm fields.

I'm just saying...

Bt toxin has not been shown to be safe for human consumption. The GMO products are engineered to produce it endogenously. It is a pesticide.
