Does the NSA metadata

have anything to do with the AP Scandal?

ie, were they using this information to see who reporters talked to? And then go get individual subpeona's to remain within the law, without divulging they already had the info?

These are the kind of things that can happen and I think probably do happen when the government is mining this type of info. It's easy to track and trace telephone numbers and calls. Put two and two together, sometimes right and sometimes wrong, and always unconstitutionally. I can see how this can be abused and how innocent people can be prosecuted.
