In the interest of saving precious bandwidth

To those of you who are posting 1000-word pleadings larded down with links, embedded videos, and what have you, all in an effort to justify in 2013 what no one would accept in 2006:

Cut it out.

No one who actually values their civil liberties and privacy is going to click on the 50th YouTube video that either makes some
arcane point, or attempts to justify what it going on now with "well, the other guy did it."

"But he did it too" is actually one of the antitheses of a well-functioning system of jurisprudence.

So save your fingers. Maybe instead of that, text a few love notes to your masters at the NSA. They may not respond, but they will be watching.

What Bush did was illegal.

that is top secret and won't be revealed until 2038 for everybody on Verizon's business network is not illegal?

Probable cause is out of the window because ... "We want to obtain tens of millions of phone records just because" is now probable cause for a warrant?

Oh, right. We could find out about it 25 years later. That makes it SO much better.

The real problem is people who wouldn't DREAM of equivocating then who equivocate now with a
giant sloppy smile on their faces.

Say hi to the NSA for me.

that we find out about it kind of makes it warrantless in my opinion, since by then the statute of limitations is long gone, and nobody will be around to bring to justice. Because this is illegal.

or first, is a stereotypical juvenile response that adults who expect to be taken seriously should never use.

As a matter of fact, as they learn to their dismay, that rule holds for my middle school students. They learn it pdq.
