I have a major question about Prism...

They state they only look at phone numbers, call duration etc., and then if they find a suspicious pattern they apply for a wiretap and then listen in. My question is whether the prism facility has recordings of PAST telephone calls sitting by the billions just waiting for a warrant or if a warrant would only mean future calls would become available? Because that's a big fucking difference with big fucking implications.
