Congress approval rating - 6% say good or excellent.

This is a Congress that is rotten to the core. They have passed laws so they continue to do insider trading. They get committee chairs where they profit personally, such as the Agriculture and Banking Committees. They vote themselves pay raises while they unashamedly vote to cut food stamps for the poor. The only time they leave Congress anymore seems to be when they get a better paying lobbyist job. They work about 2 or 3 days a week, most of that fundraising for their next election. They get paid about $174,000 per year and they are supposed to be representative of the people, where the bottom 50% in the country make less than $27,000 per year. Most of them are in for the money and it is their career. They get one of the best benefit packages in America.

For example, there is a Congressman from the 8th District of Tennessee who got appointed to the Agriculture Committee and has received over $3 million dollars in subsidies granted by the Agricultural Committee on which he sits. Can it get anymore rotten than it is now?
