I had the opportunity to inspect a B-29 ("Fifi" in Austin. Very different with pressurized forward spaces and a tube leading to the bomb bay area, unmanned and automated machine guns all controlled by (according to the I.D.) a "General Electric Computer."

side blisters held the GE computers. Thanks for the link!
