The color-coded map of secret surveillance activities by the NSA ranks countries according to how much surveillance they are currently undergoing - green for the least and red for the most watched.
While all EU member states boast variant shades of green, Germany stands out, color-coded orange.
The source behind the revelation of the top-secret NSA surveillance program, already referred to as one of the most significant intelligence leaks in US history, was uncovered late last week.

(4,015 posts)This is one of the most underreported topics ever. The national security state does the bidding of american corporations. Happened in Switzerland, most famous though is the incedence where CIA hardware was used for spying on Airbus in order to enable Boeing to underbid them.

(36,988 posts)Nothing possibly could go wrong or be improper with such a REPUTABLY RIGHT WING WAR MONGERING, BANKING EXPLOITING COMPANY doing something so secret and illegal that congress or the president wouldn't know about it.
Gee wasn't George Herbert Walker Bush on the Board? Nothing to see here. The Carlyle Group would never want to know the secrets of their little company they own doing intelligent work for the US government..... that would be improper.
