You might be a racist! (Zimmerman talking points debunked!)

If you think Trayvon Martin shouldn't have been walking at night in a gated community he had every legal right to be in...you might be a racist.

If you keep bringing up unsubstantiated claims that Trayvon Martin was a thief...you might be a racist.

If you think a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain should be following unarmed kids around the neighborhood carrying a weapon...you might be a racist.

If you're trying to argue Zimmerman's innocence by commenting on Trayvon's presumed "attitude"...you might be a racist.

If you're arguing that skittle and a can of tea is more of a threat then a gun...you might be a racist.

So sick of the talking points! I can respect those that want a fair trial but not those who keep trying to blame the victim. Walking while black is STILL legal in America. Even in George Zimmerman's neighborhood.

1) If you make that determination based on ethnicity... Then yes. Could be economic, or even age depending on the neighborhood.

2) Hadn't heard this one.. Dunno

3) Not sure where the race part come in. Either you think he should or he shouldn't. Maybe there was a pattern of only following people of a certain ethnicity . I had heard that Zimmerman was a compulsive 911 caller so maybe there was a trend?

4) Attitude and intent are going to be a huge part of both cases ( defense and prosection)

5) That doesn't make you racist. It just makes you dumb...

These are all things Zimmerman apologists say. Since its really hard to defend a man who followed and then shot and killed a child, they resort to misdirection, confusion and implying that Trayvon brought it on himself. They can't flat out say they're afraid of or don't like black men so this is the tactic.

1). Why does any citizen get to say when another should go for a walk?

2). It's irrelevant since Trayvon was up to nothing but a trip to a convenient store that night.

3) Again this is about Trayvon Martin and Its absolutely about race. Calling 911 is one thing. Chasing down and unarmed kid and shooting him is quite another.

4) How does one gauge the "attitude" of a dead kid?

5) And again, it's all racist because its things racist say to try to blame a young black kid for his own murder.

Methinks thou dost protest too much.

Just applying a little critical thought to your points... If you just want to rant about how you think things are then by all means, go right ahead.

I mistook it for serious conversation...

I thought that was obvious.

I'm perfectly calm. I just found your responses to be the very thing I was talking about.

I'll explain again for you. These are the tactics people defending Zimmerman used to try to blame an unarmed kid for his own murder. Arguing that Z deserves a fair trial is one thing, making up lies about trespassing and attitude smacks of racism.

Not sure what tempo or chanting has to do with anything, but something I've said here certainly has rubbed you the wrong way.

If you reach for ANY excuse, to justify a person being where he had no business being, doing what he had no business doing, killing a person who had every right to be where he was, and every right to do what he was doing, then there is no FUCKING might about it.

I agree with you. I just posted this because I was irritated dealing with Zimmerman apologists who blur the facts to try to blame Trayvon for his own murder. It's truly disgusting.
