The enemy of our enemies is not necessarily our friend

How do you give assistance to a random group of rebels? Is there a chain of command, organization, or anyone that would be held accountable if the weapons ended up in the wrong hands?

Remember he said "he" could tell the good guys from the bad guys, but the again he had a photo op with a couple the "bad guys" that same day and then claimed he didn't know they were "bad guys"!

You are right, it's hard to tell who is who in this battle. If we start giving out weapons how do we know that those weapons won't be turned on any peace keeping troops that may end up there? If I am not mistaken that has happened in the past.

I would hate to have to make this decision.

We are at war with Iran (a sort of cyber-cold-war with a few skirmishes so far). The hawks think we have to take out Iran's proxy state before moving on to attacking Iran directly. Plus, Syria has long been a thorn in Israel's side.

This has nothing to do with whether the rebels are "good" or with whether the Syrian regime is "good." This is all about hurting Iran.

imo. ymmv.
