"I'm in the bathtub right now," she said. "I don't have anything to write with."

I'm sometimes surprised when people decide to trust me

This was another cold call, with me hoping to find folk to lean on the state legislature, and it's always a bit tricky to get to the bottom line before people conclude (erroneously) that I'm fundraising and hang up on me

Some days go better than others: a few weeks ago, about three-fourths agreed to help. But last night, I succeeded with only half my contacts

"Could you call back and leave the telephone numbers on my voicemail?" she asked. She really wanted to let the House and Senate know where she stood

I thanked her. Then I called back and left the message

Bestbuy.com customer service rep.

I got a call from a wife who was having a fit about her husband. He was playing with the new entertainment system. The TV was making strange noises and the pic was frozen.

The problem was she wanted to be talked through how to fix it due to it being video of there wedding NIGHT! They had the disc out but the pic did not go away.

Some of those calls!

But the picture was still there.

Good thing they got the Geek Squad coverage when they bought it. I was able to get a tech on the line.

At first she did not want a tech come in, fearing having some strange guy seeing that. But their area did a a woman tech so we talked her into having her come due to the situation. She felt better about that.

I don't know what happen after that.

I had worked with televisions for a while up to that point, I never heard of such a thing.

and then stepped back off the porch. The door opened, and a fellow rushed out dressed only in a towel. He took one look at me and said, "No! Not you!" Then he turned quickly back into the house and slammed the door
