You'll find a buncha co-signers right here on the DU. Perhaps a quick note of support from Glenn Greenwald will lend some cred.

kidding aside I would also include the corporations that invade everyones privacy practically every single day. Please include Facebook, and Google and all the rest that are eating pieces of us bite by bite. Include them.

Also include the non government contractors involved in the surveillance business - are they really working with the people's interest in mind, or like all corporations, for their own greed and plans.

You start. Pony up for a lawyer who'll take a losing case as far as it will go, which is probably the lowest-level federal court.

And even if you DID win, it wouldn't stop them.

Every government in history has used the powers and technology available to them to spy. That will never change.

also. I would definitely want to be a part of it. Not for the money, but for the discovery phase.

I am sure that some of the excellent Civil Liberties Organizations will do so. Eff eg, they were excellent during the Rapiscan controversy.

But anyone who has standing can file their own suit, so I'm sure there will be plenty of individual lawsuits also.

Money may not be necessary for any major suits, as Civil Liberties firms usually do this on a contingency basis.

Without the telecoms and social networks collecting all this data, the government has nothing to mine.

Even then, though, I think it's an uphill battle.
