Why Democrats Love To Spy On Americans

Besides Senators Ron Wyden and Mark Udall, most Democrats abandoned their civil liberty positions during the age of Obama. With a new leak investigation looming, the Democrat leadership are now being forced to confront all the secrets they’ve tried to hide.

For most bigwig Democrats in Washington, D.C., the last 48 hours has delivered news of the worst kind — a flood of new information that has washed away any lingering doubts about where President Obama and his party stand on civil liberties, full stop.
Glenn Greenwald’s exposure of the NSA’s massive domestic spy program has revealed the entire caste of current Democratic leaders as a gang of civil liberty opportunists, whose true passion, it seems, was in trolling George W. Bush for eight years on matters of national security.
“Everyone should just calm down,” Senator Harry Reid said yesterday, inhaling slowly.

That’s right: don’t panic.

I didn't agree or disagree with their statement. What I will say is that it's a sad day when someone dies and a growing measure of people across the country immediately assume their government is to blame.

Were you at the scene and are you privy to the accident report compiled by the LAPD?

I'm curious how one comes to the conclusion it was no accident with such certainty without the benefit of examining pertinent facts.

Its too early to draw conclusions. However, given the nature of his work, and the potential enemies he had, no theory can be excluded from consideration right now.

Wrecked cars usually don't burn. And, although it's my understanding that speeding on that road is fairly common, it must have been extremely fast for the car to break in two and fling the engine 50 yards down the road.
Its not tin-foil hattery to not discount any theory until it is positively eliminated.

Our accident investigators get a lot of practice (sadly) investigating these accidents.. They'll figure out what happened. An autopsy will also determine if he had been drinking (very possible at that hour).

There's no evidence of foul play, much less a government conspiracy.

Single car accident on deserted road at 4:30 am. Car broke in half and engulfed in flames.
Too early to jump to conclusions, but unusual circumstances should indicate that no theory be prematurely rejected.

The Infiniti sedan carrying the five people veered off a road around 5:20 p.m. and hit a tree ...The impact split the car and it caught fire ...

Holy shizz! Yet another car that hit a tree, broke in half, and burst into flames! Nobody could believe that's a coincidence! Do you think we should suspect maybe the car in Newport Beach was taken out by a drone strike?

“Everyone should just calm down,” Senator Harry Reid said yesterday, inhaling slowly.

"I think that he should be prosecuted" "How on earth can we have a situation where we are so vulnerable, so exposed, with so much information about how we acquire intelligence, to the point that the DNI (director of national intelligence) is saying that it seriously hurt our national security?" fretted Pelosi

"...an act of treason. He violated the oath, he violated the law. That's an act of treason!" said war profiteer Diane Feinstein

A"traitor" who "committed an act of war against the United States," screamed former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton

A traitor! said the Prince of Darkness himself, the eminently corrupt Dick Cheney who made millions off the blood of young American troops and innocent people in his way.

as Edward Snowden calmly, with poise beyond his years, exposes the hypocrisy of these people. When asked what it was that pushed him, his answer is

a continuing litany of lies from senior officials to Congress - and therefore the American people - and the realization that that Congress, specifically **the Gang of Eight**, wholly supported the lies that compelled me to act. Seeing someone in the position of James Clapper - the Director of National Intelligence - baldly lying to the public without repercussion is the evidence of a subverted democracy. The consent of the governed is not consent if it is not informed.

"it's important to bear in mind I'm being called a traitor by men like former Vice President Dick Cheney. This is a man who gave us the warrantless wiretapping scheme as a kind of atrocity warm-up on the way to deceitfully engineering a conflict that has killed over 4,400 and maimed nearly 32,000 Americans, as well as leaving over 100,000 Iraqis dead. Being called a traitor by Dick Cheney is the highest honor you can give an American, and the more panicked talk we hear from people like him, Feinstein, and King, the better off we all are. If they had taught a class on how to be the kind of citizen Dick Cheney worries about, I would have finished high school.
