CBS already working to defeat Howard Dean

and all he did was say he wouldn't rule out running.

holy shit. look at this and look at the pic:

Don't scream. Or it could ruin Howard Dean's chances of running for president in 2016.

Dean's now-infamous howl at the Iowa caucuses was blamed in part for the demise of his 2004 presidential campaign. But nearly a decade later, the former Vermont governor and DNC chair is teasing the possibility that he could reenter the presidential campaign scene in 2016.

"You should never say never in this business," Dean told CNN on Thursday at the liberal Netroots Nations conference.

That's probably an indictment of all three branches of government and many of our federal agencies. It's depressing.

I would trust Howard to be much more up front and at least attempt to make the case before he gets caught. I respect that.

he comes from a very privileged background

Dean was born in East Hampton, New York, to Howard Brush Dean, Jr. and Andrée Belden (née Maitland), an art appraiser.[7] He is the oldest of their four children, all boys.[7]

Howard's father worked at the stock brokerage firm of Dean Witter. The family was quite wealthy, Republican, and belonged to the exclusive Maidstone Golf Club in East Hampton. As a child he spent much of his time growing up in East Hampton; the family built a house on Hook Pond[8] there in the mid-1950s. There the boys– Howard, Charlie, Jim and Bill– "rode bikes, played with a model train set, [and] built elaborate underground forts." While in New York, the family had a three-bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side part of Park Avenue, where Dean still sometimes stays.[7]

Howard attended the Browning School in Manhattan until he was 13, and then went to St. George's School, a preparatory school in Middletown, Rhode Island.[9] In September 1966, he attended Felsted School, UK, for one school year after winning an English Speaking Union scholarship.[10]

namely, three brothers: JFK, RFK, and EMK (Ted Kennedy). The one media pundit (if you could call him that) always determined to make that an issue was el rushbo. Unless I've missed something, it was probably the same with John Kerry.

That said, I don't see how that part of Dean's upbringing is relevant to Dems and Progressives regarding his possible candidacy. His opponents will use every possible thing they can think of to use against him, including that. It would be a flimsy reason for anyone on our side to not consider him, but no matter whether he's part of the 1% or the 99%, if he's in any way a threat to today's Robber Baron Class, they (including CBS) will, of course, go after him.

I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know!
