cycles have been pretty close to that and pretty similar to each other in actual positions and philosophy

These must be a more wily bunch. Or they can't actually read and have been cut and pasting all of their posts.

any self-respecting Paulbot or RW troll would just blow their cover like that...I guess the best way to maybe find out if somebody's a troll is to look at their posts and see if they never EVER have anything positive to say about Obama whatsoever, despite his accomplishments. That, and if they never show up on any anti-Republican threads. Also let's not forget the false equivalence.

the New Deal Democrat and the European Social Democrat. They're pretty similar, in my view, but I chose Social Democrat because I think they're more liberal on social as well as economic issues.

I think Socialist would be a good pick for me as well. I love the European countries that have socialist education and medical care. I would love to see national healthcare where you pay your taxes and when you go to the doctor there are no premiums, deductibles or copays.

I think education should be no cost for students as long as they keep up their grades. I'd also like to see a national healthcare system like you describe. If we could do just those 2 things, I think we'd see a big improvement in our quality of life. I think most Americans would really get behind those programs, too. Americans are much more socialistic than a lot of people realize. The wealthy know we are, that's why so much is spent on MSM and entertainment to keep us ignorant of the facts.

Closest I came to was #3, but even then I have to hold my nose a little.

Whoever voted #2 is a putz. A pox on you all.

14. I'm Marxist in some ways

In my view of history and society (because Marx was primarily a historian). My utopia would be a democratic socialist state, but I know which country I live in, and as a result I've become very practical in my political expectations. The best I could hope for in the US is McGovernite liberalism, but probably we'll be lucky to hang on to Clintonism. Any of it is better than batshit Teabaggery.
