EPA allows more Glyphosate in food

Glyphosate = Monsanto's herbicide

http://www.collective-evolution.com/2013/06/19/epa-raises-allowable-concentrations-of-monsantos-glyphosate-on-food-crops/

http://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=EPA-HQ-OPP-2012-0132-0009

Monsanto continues to make more noise as they have recently raised the allowable concentrations of Monsanto’s Glyphosate on food crops, edible oils and animal feed. To be technically correct, it was the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), but the EPA and Monsanto are nothing but a revolving door. Dozens of individuals who work for and who have held high level positions at Monsanto have also held high level positions in the EPA, which is an agency (branch of the U.S. government) that sets regulations for the biotech giant (monsanto). For example, Linda J. Fisher, now working for DuPont, she is the former deputy administrator at the Office of Prevention, Pesticides and Toxic Substances at the EPA, and the former Vice President of Government Affairs for the Monsanto Corporation. Another one is William Ruckelshaus. Mr Ruckelshaus served as the EPA administrator, the agencies top position. Mr Ruckelshaus also serves on the board of Monsanto. There are many more connections to be made (dozens), it’s no secret that the government, EPA as well as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) all hold connections amongst each other.

Urgent action is required here. Public comments are due by July 1 to object to new EPA regulations which are already in place (Increase of glyphosate contamination). You can object and post your comments here (link above). It’s time to make better choices in our own lives!

Do you think farmers are allowed to only buy Monsanto seeds? Have you reasoned this through at all??

Industrial Ag is efficiently doing away with farmers, and has been doing so since the 1960's. "Get Big or Get Out" - Earl B.) You should really inform yourself about what corporate industrial ag has done to farm families across America. It is truly tragic. What you are hilariously alleging is "reason' is -- oddly enough -- strikingly similar to the same lame effort at rationalizing exploitation of people, seed, land and water that we hear from Monsanto's vast cadre of well-funded PR minions.

So on one level it is efficient and highly profitable for Industrial Ag, Inc. to corrupt vast acres of the life in the soil and water with it's various poisons, including glyphosate. They rake in massive money bucks from using machinery and poisons. I guess as a proponent of Monsanto et.al that is what you are applauding.

But meanwhile, as has been true for decades, this mechanized, materialistic, chemicalized, mutant approach condemns great numbers of America's Farm Families to leave the land for the cities to seek work. It's a total social and environmental & dietrary tragedy.

But it's damn profitable for a few (1%), especially since the current dipsy-doodle laws allow Industrial Ag to keep its food and feed OCCULT -- hidden from public understanding.

Without question, one of us is totally ignorant about corporate farms. It isn't me.

The fraction of crops produced in the US by "Industrial Ag" is less than 20%. And you are telling me that "Industrial Ag" is driving the market for seed?

No, it is not.

Monsanto is providing the seeds the farmers want to grow. The farmers want the convenience of Roundup Ready crops. They wanted Bt crops. If you don't want them, don't buy them.

But I choose to leave it out of my diet, my water, and my land. I wish Industrial Ag, Inc. did not use it, and did not foist it and its OCCULT seeds on me, my family, and my fellow Americans. We have a right to food without chemical and GMO crap, despite your defense of the legally-perverse "right" to pollute people and planet with death-dealing chemicals.

The Venn diagram in the OP is representative of the federal government in general and is only tangentially related to the EPA.

Even in the direct cases, the connection is weak. Linda Fisher was with the EPA a dozen years ago and now works for DuPont.

If your point is that Monsanto owns the EPA, then flashing up Hillary's connection through Rose Law is way off base.

OWNS the EPA... but there are unhealthy connections and I vehemently oppose more chemicals allowed in our food supply...

as for Pres Obama signing the Monsanto Protection Act and Hillary Clinton's connections... well, these are realities and I am pragmatic enough to know these things can't be hidden and we must work to make things better and to help politicians do the right thing eventually
