i think the operating assumption is 'everyone knows what i really mean, and so it's ok'. That's a really dangerous assumption, and a lot of people will see it as blatent hypocrisy

but if anyone made that remark above, with any other race, they would be instantly banned, and nobody would dispute it (including me)

24. That's a really good point and one I didn't think about.

I was thinking 'Angry White Guys' aka Rush, Newt, Glenn, etc. It seemed obvious to me who the poster was referring to and that they didn't REALLY want to shoot anybody, so I took it for the joke it was intended to be.
